A challenge coin display built for an Air Force officer's promotion to Major. The Department of the Air Force seal is engraved into a European beech panel, with African mahogany rails that form the stripes and hold the coins.

Custom work
Quang takes on one project at a time. When your build is in the shop, it's the only build in the shop — which is why slots are limited and reserved in order.
Tell us what you have in mind — the space, the size, how it'll be used, and any inspiration. We'll talk through options and whether it's a fit.
We sketch the piece, settle on wood and steel finishes, and confirm dimensions and details before anything is cut. After our consultation you'll get a quote. A 50% deposit secures your build slot and covers materials and design consultation; the balance is due when your piece is complete.
Your piece becomes the shop's sole focus. Quang handles the woodwork while a partner welder fabricates the steel, and the two come together by hand.
Final finishing, a last check, and hand-off. White-glove delivery and setup is available within about 2 hours of Austin for an added fee (quoted with your project), or pick up free from the shop in Austin.

About
I started woodworking as a way to heal from PTSD. Somewhere along the way, it became a love of making: slowing down, studying the grain, and noticing the small details in every board. No two pieces of wood are alike, and every species has its own personality. I build each piece to carry that story forward, one project at a time, with steelwork from trusted local welders here in Austin.
